The holy town of Shegaon in Buldhana district is set to host the National Arogya Fair 2026 from 25 to 28 February, bringing together all traditional systems of medicine under one roof, including Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homoeopathy.

The fair will be inaugurated by President of India Droupadi Murmu on 25 February at the Visava Maidan of Sant Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan. The ceremony will also be attended by the Governor of Maharashtra, Union Minister of Ayush Prataprao Jadhav, and other distinguished guests.

Organised by the Ministry of Ayush in collaboration with the All India Ayurvedic Congress, the four-day event aims to:

  • Promote awareness and use of Ayush systems among the public.

  • Provide free health check-ups, consultations, and medicines across various traditional healthcare disciplines.

  • Support farmers by promoting cultivation, processing, and marketing of medicinal plants.

The fair will feature thematic exhibitions, expert lectures, yoga demonstrations, live therapy counters, and interactive sessions on preventive and promotive healthcare. Reputed Ayush pharmaceutical and wellness companies will showcase recent research, quality standards, and good manufacturing practices. Visitors can explore separate stalls for each Ayush stream and learn simple home remedies and wellness techniques.

A key focus of the fair is farmers’ welfare. On 27 February at 3:00 pm, a special programme on “Ayurvedic Farming, Production and Marketing” will guide Vidarbha farmers on agroforestry, cultivation of medicinal plants, value addition, and marketing strategies. Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav encouraged farmers to integrate medicinal plant cultivation with conventional agriculture to secure sustainable and remunerative income.

Conceived with the dual goal of strengthening the Ayush ecosystem and enhancing farmers’ livelihoods, the National Arogya Fair 2026 invites citizens, students, health volunteers, self-help groups, and Ayush stakeholders from Maharashtra and neighbouring states to participate and benefit from this national event.
