Shimla Nursing College Celebrates W.H.O Day 2025

Shimla Nursing College-Shurala, organized W.H.O DAY CELEBRATION on 7th APRIL 2025 for nursing students. The Theme of W.H.O Day 2025 is ‘Heathy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures’. Dr. Akriti – Medical Officer – DDU Shimla, Sanjna Dafraik – Health Educator, Meena Sharma – Heath Educator from Health and Family Welfare Deptt. DDU Shimla, presided over the program as our esteemed guest along with Principal SNC- Dr. Krishna Chauhan, teaching and non-teaching staff and nursing students.

The program commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the Principal of SNC and dignitaries from health and family welfare Deptt. DDU Shimla. Dr. Akriti – Medical officer and Dr. Krishna Chauhan –Principal Shimla Nursing college gave speech on importance of maternal health and newborn care.

On the occasion of W.H.O day various activities were organized –Declamation competition, Poster making competition and role play by the students of Shimla nursing college. Students participated house wise competition with enthusiasm in each activity.

 Medical officer and Principal Shimla Nursing college gave prizes to the winners of declamation, poster making and role play. Result were given below –

Poster making – 1ST Prize – Mehak (Vivekananda house)

2nd prize – Sonali (kalam house)

Declamation –  1ST Prize –  Shivani (kalam House)

  2nd prize – Twish negi Kalam House)
