The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, launched SIDDHI 2.0 (Scientific Innovation in Drug Development, Healthcare & Integration), a national platform to accelerate research-driven development of Ayurvedic products. The two-day conclave, organized by the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI), Vijayawada, in collaboration with CII, brought together industry leaders, academics, regulators, and researchers.

The inaugural session featured Prof. Vd. Rabinarayan Acharya, DG CCRAS; K. Dinesh Kumar, Director (Ayush), Andhra Pradesh; Dr N. Srikanth, Deputy DG CCRAS; and key industry representatives. CCRAS also released its medico-historical publication “Evolution of Ayurveda, Siddha & Unani Drug Regulations in India” and the Drug Inventory Management System portal.

SIDDHI 2.0 aims to strengthen research-led product development, promote indigenous technologies, foster industry partnerships, and enhance global competitiveness of Ayurvedic pharmaceuticals. Over 100 delegates from more than 25 leading Ayurvedic companies, including Himalaya Wellness, Oushadhi, and Laila Nutra, participated. The event featured technical sessions, demonstrations of CCRAS research outcomes, and discussions on translational collaboration between industry and academia.

With its focus on evidence-based innovation, SIDDHI 2.0 is positioned as a national platform to modernize the Ayurveda sector, advance scientific research, and support India’s holistic health vision.
