SJVN Launches Swachhta Pakhwada 2025 with Cleanliness Campaign Across All Projects and Offices

SJVN has officially launched its Swachhta Pakhwada 2025 across all projects and offices, initiating the event with the administration of the Swachhta Pledge to its employees. The Pakhwada, running from 16th to 31st May 2025, will feature a series of cleanliness drives and awareness activities aimed at promoting environmental responsibility.

The Swachhta Pledge was administered by Sh. Bhupender Gupta, CMD (Addl Charge), at the SJVN Office in New Delhi, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to a clean and green environment. The event was attended by Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), Sh. Pawan Varma, ED (HR), and other senior officials who supported the initiative.

During the ceremony, Sh. Bhupender Gupta stressed the importance of individual responsibility in maintaining a clean and healthy environment. He urged employees to take proactive steps in supporting cleanliness efforts, not only in the workplace but also in the surrounding communities.

At the Corporate Headquarters in Shimla, the Swachhta Pledge was administered by Sh. Chandra Shekhar Yadav, ED/HoD (HR), while other project locations were led by the respective Heads of Projects and Stations.

Since 2016, SJVN has been observing Swachhta Pakhwada annually in line with the Ministry of Power’s directives. This year’s event includes cleanliness drives, community awareness programs, and a variety of activities designed to promote sustainable practices. Key initiatives for 2025 include cleanliness drives at public locations, maintenance of girls’ school toilets, Shramdan by employees, anti-plastic campaigns, and community plantation drives.

SJVN continues to strengthen its dedication to cleanliness and sustainability through these impactful programs.
