Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN, addressed new appointees during the Management Employee Connect Program. This initiative is part of a series of innovative programs aimed at motivating and energizing SJVN employees to achieve higher targets. The event, held at Hotel Peterhoff, Shimla, witnessed the participation of around 350 employees recruited in the current and previous financial year.

Sharma reflected on SJVN’s remarkable growth journey, originally established as NJPC to develop the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Project in 1988. Today, SJVN boasts a portfolio of over 56,000 MW. He highlighted the allocation of numerous projects in India and around 80 projects under various stages of development in the past five years.
Sharma reiterated his unwavering belief in Team SJVN, a team wholly dedicated to achieving the Shared Vision of reaching 25,000 MW by 2030 and an ambitious 50,000 MW by 2040.
Challenges and Determination: Sharma stressed the need for determination in overcoming challenges on the path to achieving these monumental targets. He urged all employees to give their best efforts to accomplish their assigned tasks. He acknowledged the perseverance of SJVN staff and expressed confidence that the Shared Vision would be realized through collective efforts and accelerated progress.
