Career Journey of Akhileshwar Singh

Akhileshwar Singh began his career at Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited and joined SJVN as Senior Officer (Finance) in 1993. On January 6, 2020, he assumed the role of Director (Finance).

Under Akhileshwar Singh’s leadership, SJVN witnessed remarkable growth:

  • Financial Growth: The company’s CapEx reached unprecedented levels.
  • Share Price Surge: With expertise in SEBI regulations and market analysis, he propelled SJVN’s share price from ₹24.09 in 2019 to ₹170 in 2024.
  • Renewable Energy Expansion:
    • Expanded the renewable portfolio to 28,240 MW.
    • Commissioned five major solar projects, including:
      • 75 MW Parasan Solar Power Station, Uttar Pradesh
      • 75 MW Gurah Solar Power Station, Uttar Pradesh
      • 50 MW Gujrai Solar Power Station, Uttar Pradesh
      • 100 MW Raghanseda Solar Power Station, Gujarat
      • 90 MW Omkareshwar Solar Power Station, Madhya Pradesh

Role in Renewable Energy Implementing Agency (REIA)

As the Head of SJVN’s Renewable Energy Implementing Agency, Akhileshwar Singh played a pivotal role in:

  • Achieving the 12.5 GW renewable energy target.
  • Awarding 1.5 GW solar projects in November 2023.
  • Advancing 1.5 GW hybrid and 1.5 GW solar projects nearing award stages.

Born on December 11, 1964, in Siwan, Bihar, Akhileshwar Singh holds a postgraduate degree in Business Management (Finance) from Patna University. He is a dedicated family man, with his wife Rita Singh, daughter Anupama, and son Abhinav.
