Believing art to be the mirror of society we have a brilliant artist Jaya Daronde, Assistant Professor, Department of Fine Arts from Kurukshetra, who brought her creations to the city in a form of a solo painting exhibition, “Abhirupa 2022” at Gaiety Theatre. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Usha Bande, retired principal and former fellow of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla.
Putting her heart and soul into her work, this exhibition is a reflection on feminism and the journey of a female, from being a teenager to an old woman. Her exhibition revolves around the theme of women’s evolution and her perception by men in different spheres of life and at different stages.
After receiving a positive response from the people of Shimla, this is her second solo exhibition to showcase her artwork.
