In order to fulfill its commitment to reduce pendency of various matters, the Department of Biotechnology along with its autonomous bodies (ABs), have continued the momentum under Special Campaign 3.0 for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM 3.0) in its 3rd week.
Significant achievements have been made in disposal of various pending matters viz. VIP references, public grievances, record management, disposal of scrap and freeing up and beautifying office and outdoor spaces.
Special Campaign 3.0 For Pendency Reduction In Full Swing
Under the Campaign, till the third week, the Department and its ABs and PSUs have weeded more than 20,100 physical files and closed more than 370 e-files. More than 42,000 sq.ft space has been freed and about Rs.6.9 lakh has been earned as revenue by disposal of scrap and unusable material. 80% of pending public grievances &VIP references have been disposed of so far.
Outdoor spaces have been beautified and made use of for creating re-creation areas. The Department and its ABs are actively posting various activities under the Campaign on social media. So far more than 80 tweets have been issued by the Deptt. and its ABs.
The Campaign activities and progress is being reviewed regularly by the Nodal Officer of the Deptt. and Secretary, Department of Biotechnology to ensure expeditious disposal of all pending matters.
