St. Edward’s School commemorates Independence Day with vibrant celebration

St. Edward’s School marked Independence Day with a series of events that celebrated the spirit of freedom, unity, and patriotism. The festivities commenced with the warm welcome of the Chief Guests for the day. This was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony, where the National Flag was raised, and the National Anthem resonated through the school grounds, filling the air with pride and reverence.

After the flag hoisting, the guests were escorted to the school hall, where the celebrations continued. The program began with heartfelt words of dedication to the brave soldiers. The lighting of the ceremonial lamp added a touch of tradition and solemnity to the occasion.The theme of the celebration highlighted the importance of honouring our freedom fighters and reflecting on the values they fought for.

The School Choir further enriched the event with a stirring group song, evoking a sense of national pride.The event concluded with a few words that encapsulated the essence of the celebration, reminding everyone of their duty towards the nation.The day’s activities didn’t end there, as students from different houses participated in a variety of events that showcased their talents and creativity. These included a human tableau, poetry recitation, group dance, vodcast presentations, rangoli making, a cuisine showcase, tree plantation, and competitions in chess and table tennis.

The Independence Day celebrations at St. Edward’s School were a vibrant display of the students’ dedication and love for the country, making the event a memorable tribute to India’s rich history and culture.
