Additional Chief Secretary R.D. Nazeem reviewed the progress of the City Gas Distribution (CGD) network in the state and addressed issues faced by operating companies.

He highlighted that the CGD network supplies clean and cost-effective natural gas to households, businesses, and industries, reducing dependence on LPG. In Una district, pipelines have reached around 13,000 homes, with nearly 6,000 already using the service.

To ease expansion, the government has simplified the land approval process under Section 118 and mandated time-bound clearances. Departments have been directed to approve applications within seven days, failing which approvals will be deemed granted.

Nazeem also instructed departments to clear pending cases quickly and urged companies to coordinate closely with officials to speed up the process.
