The State Government was contemplating to develop the Greater Parwanoo Industrial area to facilitate industrialization of the area. This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur after inaugurating Parwanoo Industrialists Association (PIA) Sadan at Parwanoo in Solan district today. Chief Minister said that the State Government was committed to make Himachal an industrial hub of the country. He said that the State Government was providing all possible incentives to the entrepreneurs to facilitate them to set up their units in the State. He said that Parwanoo, apart from being the entry point for the State, was also the oldest industrial area of the State.

He said that efforts would be made to strengthen basic facilities in the area to facilitate Industrialists. Jai Ram Thakur said that the PIA has done commendable work in the field of social work as well. He said that the Association has also been collecting about thousand unit blood every year which was a great service to humanity. Health Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal also spoke on the occasion. President PIA Sunil Taneja welcomed the Chief Minister and also detailed various activities of the Association. MP Suresh Kashyap, MLA Doon Paramjeet Singh Pammi, former MLA K.L. Thakur and other members of Association were present on the occasion.
