The Department of AYUSH, Government of Himachal Pradesh, will celebrate Ayurveda Day on 23rd September 2025 with great enthusiasm across the state. The celebration will include a wide array of activities such as outreach health camps, awareness lectures, and public sensitization programmes to educate citizens on the significance and benefits of Ayurveda and other traditional systems of medicine.
As the main event of the celebrations, a one-day Conclave titled “Ayur Manthan: Ayush in Himachal – A Roadmap for Sustainable Growth” will be organized in Shimla. The Conclave will be chaired by the Hon’ble AYUSH Minister, Himachal Pradesh, and will feature participation from senior government officials, subject experts, AYUSH industry stakeholders, and community representatives.
The Conclave aims to develop a strategic roadmap for the AYUSH sector in Himachal Pradesh, focusing on three key areas:
-
Utilization of Non-Timber Forest Produce (NTFPs) to support the AYUSH drug industry.
-
Modernization and branding of Government AYUSH Pharmacies to build public trust and recognition.
-
Promotion of Wellness Tourism, leveraging the state’s natural beauty and traditional healing practices.
The Department of AYUSH has highlighted that this initiative goes beyond healthcare. It aims to position AYUSH as a key driver of employment generation, sustainable natural resource use, and holistic socio-economic development in Himachal Pradesh.
All stakeholders and members of the public are cordially invited to participate in the Ayurveda Day celebrations and join hands in transforming Himachal Pradesh into a model AYUSH state for the country.
