The second day of the B. L. Modi Inter-school English Elocution Competition organised by Bishop Cotton School Shimla was full of zeal amd enthusiasm. Students from various schools in and around Shimla participated in the event.
Dr. Anuja Sharma, retired Associate Professor, Department of English, St Bede’s College, was the Chief Guest on the second day of the event. The aim of this competition was to encourage good English-speaking as an essential skill and an area of interest. It also aimed to provide a platform for the school students of Shimla to meet, interact and learn from each other.
The participant schools included Auckland House School for Boys (AHSB), Auckland House School for Girls (AHSG), Chapslee School (CS), Convent of Jesus and Mary (CJM), DAV School Lakkar Bazaar, Loreto Convent Tara Hall (LCTH), Sacred Heart Convent (SHC), Shimla Public School (SPS) and Bishop Cotton School (BCS) Shimla.
