Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited Tong-Len School at Sarah in Dharamshala on Friday morning, where he interacted with students and learned about their interests and hobbies. Encouraging them to grow into responsible and aware citizens, he urged the children to contribute meaningfully to the nation and society.
Highlighting the school’s mission, the Chief Minister appreciated Tong-Len’s long-standing commitment to improving the lives of slum communities by educating children from marginalized backgrounds. Since its inception, the organization has focused on empowering underprivileged families through quality education.
Reiterating his government’s commitment to public welfare, CM Sukhu said that the present administration is dedicated to safeguarding the rights of the people. He noted that the Mukhyamantri Sukh Aashray Sahayata Kosh was created to ensure that orphan children receive full support for higher and professional education, with the government covering all related expenses.
During his visit, the Chief Minister also paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi. Tong-Len Charitable Trust remains focused on ensuring that every child from poor and disadvantaged communities gets the opportunity to benefit from the education and support provided by the institution.
