Condemnation of previous government’s financial mismanagement (Sukhu’s eco-friendly initiatives)
The Chief Minister criticized the previous BJP government for mismanaging the state’s finances, leaving every person in the state with a debt of Rs. 92,840. Moreover, he stated that the present government had to take a loan of Rs. 6000 crore to repay the liabilities taken by the previous government. However, he assured the public that his government is working towards bringing the state’s economy back on track by taking prudent financial decisions.
Efforts to mobilize resources for public welfare schemes
The present government is working towards resource mobilization to fund various public welfare schemes. The state government has imposed a water cess on hydropower projects, which will improve the fiscal health of the state. Additionally, the auctioning of liquor vends has resulted in a 40 percent increase in revenue. The government has also started the Mukhyamantri Sukhashray Yojna for 6000 orphan children in the state, providing them with the entire expense of higher education, pocket money, and an annual exposure visit.
Initiatives for self-employment and strengthening rural economy (Sukhu’s eco-friendly initiatives)
To provide self-employment avenues to the youth of the state. Additionally, the government is providing a 40 percent subsidy on setting up solar power projects from 250 KW to 2 MW. The government also plans to provide a 50 percent subsidy for the purchase of e-trucks, e-buses, e-taxis, and e-goods carriers. Moreover, a provision has been made in the budget to provide financial assistance of Rs. 1.5 lakh to ‘Ekal Nari’ for constructing a house. The government has also made provisions in the budget to strengthen the rural economy.
New investment policy and measures to tackle drug menace
A new investment policy is in the works to promote industries, benefitting industrialists and the people of the state. Moreover, the government is making sincere efforts to tackle the drug menace. Thus, requested the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to enact a strict law to combat this menace.
Inauguration of developmental projects
The Chief Minister inaugurated five developmental projects worth Rs. 22.30 crore in the Doon assembly constituency. Among these projects was a bridge over Gamber khad on Baniya Devi-Bughar road at Bughar. Which will prove to be a boon for the people of Arki, Doon, and Kasauli assembly segments.

On Tuesday, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated various developmental projects in the Baddi area of Solan district. The CM laid the foundation stone of a 180-meter long double-lane bridge over Sirsa Khad and a cycle track on Sun-city Road in Baddi.
