TEAMAdil.2.11 (2)A four member Indian team aged between 15-17 years comprising of two girls Amrita Anand and Anika Verma and two boys Aadil Bedi and Kartik Sharma are all set to give tough competition at the Singha World Junior at Hua Hin, Thailand. The Indian Golf Union sent Nandita Rao as the tournament manager who is looking after the lodging and boarding for the team India on behalf of Government of India. The Team has taken couple of practice round at the Royal Hua Hin Golf Course in wet and humid condition.

Around 15 countries have floated their teams in individual and team event for boys and girls. Japan has sent a strong contingent of 12 player followed by host Thailand, Australia, Czech Republic, Hong Kong and Singapore. Rao said, “Our team is well prepared for this event and will give them a good fight for the coveted trophy in individual and team events”.

TEAMAdil.2.11 (3)Aadil is in brilliant form ever since he returned from the world cup USA. He said, “I am sticking to my basics for scoring low in this event. I am using my 70 per cent of power to keep the ball in the fairway. I came here almost a week prior to the event and made a solid game plan, which I will be using in the coming days. Will tee off at 8.30 am with Yuto Watanabe of Guam and Rikuto Hirakawa of Japan”.

He further informed from Hua Hin that “PGTI has sent an invitation to play in CG Open at BPGC Mumbai from 23-26 November. Playing in the big professional event with senior professional like Jyoty Randhawa, Chicka Rangappa, Khalin Joshi, Ajitesh Sandhu and Sujjan Singh will definitely giving me an edge in the junior events too. I will play this event as an Amateur”.
