Three days conference at Himachal State Museum, Shimla

Himachal State Museum Shimla has announced a three days conference on ‘Role of Museum in the  development of Society and preservation of heritage’ at Himachal State Museum, Shimla from 10-12 December, 2024.

The aim of the conference is to invite professionals, academician, scholars and researchers to discuss the methodological, strategic, programmatic considerations and technological transformations.

Dr. Hari Chauhan, Curator, Himachal State Museum, Shimla stated that following things have to be kept in mind while applying:

1. Only individual papers (panels not accepted) based on original un-published research will be considered for in-person presentation.
2. Abstract should not exceed 250 words and deadline for submission before, 31st. October, 2024.
3. Full length paper not exceeding 3000 words must be submitted at the presentation day.
3. Abstract may be submitted by email.
4. Travel expenses within India shall be reimbursed @ Economy air fare/AC II railway /shared taxi. 
5. International Scholars will be reimbursed only part airfare on a case-by-case basis.
6. The Museum will provide local hospitality to the participants.
