CM Sukhu made a historic overnight visit to the remote hamlet of Kasha Pat in Rampur after attending the ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ event in Rohru. Staying at the home of local resident Supan Das, the CM received a warm traditional reception, joined the villagers in the traditional Nati dance, and emphasized that Himachal Pradesh’s progress depends on rural prosperity.
Highlighting education and connectivity as top priorities, CM Sukhu announced ₹2 crore for a new school building in Kasha Pat alongside a new village playground. To resolve travel issues for students, the state is launching a bus service from Kasha Pat to Rampur via Taklech. To support local operators on this route, the government offered a 40 percent state subsidy for locals purchasing a bus (up to ₹30 lakh), along with a monthly financial grant of ₹50,000 for five years.
Empowering local communities and women, the Chief Minister announced ₹5 lakh for Mahila Mandals without dedicated buildings and ₹1 lakh for existing ones to purchase necessary equipment. He also highlighted the upcoming ‘Apna Parivar, Sukhi Parivar’ scheme, which will offer eligible women a ₹1,500 monthly pension, while handing out homestay registration certificates and promoting solar energy interest subsidies to boost local tourism and sustainable growth.
