Tribal Advisory Council Formed Under The Leadership Of Chief Minister

The state government has issued a notification regarding the formation of the Himachal Pradesh Tribal Advisory Council. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will serve as the Chairman of the council, with Jagat Singh Negi, the Minister of Revenue and Tribal Development, as the Vice Chairman.

A spokesperson for the state government revealed today that Ravi Thakur, the MLA from Lahaul-Spiti, and Dr. Janak Raj, the MLA from Bharmaur, will be members of the council. Other members include Hemraj, Ravi Sharma, Satish Sharma, Daulat Ram from the Chamba district; Sonam Targe, Chhewang, Sushil Advocate, Mohan Lal from the Lahaul-Spiti district; Advocate Amar Chand, Dr. Surya Prakash Boras, Beer Singh, Sukh Dev, Kesar Nand Negi, and Jay Kishan Negi from the Kinnaur district. The Chief Secretary will serve as the Secretary of the council, and the Commissioner and Principal Secretary of Tribal Affairs will be joint members.

The term of this council will be two years.

Similarly, in line with this development, notifications have also been issued for the formation of Project Advisory Committees for effective implementation and monitoring of sub-schemes and other programs in the tribal areas of Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti, Bharmaur, and Pangi.
