The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has partnered with Google to list authorised Aadhaar Centres on Google Maps, making it easier for residents across India to locate nearby centres and access services efficiently.
The initiative will allow users to identify centres based on services like adult enrolment, child enrolment, or address and mobile updates. Information on accessibility features, such as divyang-friendly facilities, parking availability, and operating hours, will also be displayed wherever applicable.
With over 60,000 Aadhaar centres, including state-of-the-art Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs), this move aims to enhance public convenience, prevent misinformation, and ensure residents reach verified centres seamlessly.
“UIDAI is focused on improving ease of living for Aadhaar holders. This collaboration will make navigating authorised centres simpler, faster, and more transparent,” said Bhuvnesh Kumar, CEO, UIDAI.
In the next phase, UIDAI plans to manage centre information via Google Business Profile and respond to public feedback directly. The partnership may also introduce direct appointment booking through Google Maps for more efficient planning.
“Integrating verified Aadhaar centres on Google Maps helps millions find trusted services and bridges the gap between government infrastructure and citizens,” said Roli Agarwal, Country Head, Strategic Partnerships, Google India.
