WHO Summit on Traditional Medicine Set for December

The Ministry of Ayush has signed an agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO) to co-host the 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine, scheduled to be held in New Delhi from December 17 to 19, 2025.

Themed “Restoring Balance for People and Planet: The Science and Practice of Well-being”, the summit will serve as a global platform for experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to explore the role of traditional medicine in public health and sustainable development.

The agreement was formalized in the presence of Union Minister of State for Ayush (Independent Charge) Prataprao Jadhav and senior officials from the Ministry during the 2nd Summit Planning Group Meeting.

The Ministry of Ayush and WHO jointly reaffirmed their commitment to promoting evidence-based traditional medicine systems that support human health and planetary well-being.
