To celebrate World Rhino Day 2026, the National Zoological Park (NZP), New Delhi, rolled out a series of educational programs designed to raise awareness about rhinoceros conservation and deepen school engagement in environmental stewardship.
Highlighting the day’s events was the Zoo’s first orientation program for Eco-Club teachers, which gathered educators from 12 Delhi schools. The NZP leadership engaged with participants to explore joint initiatives, including student workshops, citizen science projects, and eco-day observances.
Throughout the day, visitors participated in interactive talks and creative activities at the Zoo. A specialized “Keepers’ Talk” at the rhino enclosure offered attendees a firsthand look into the daily care, feeding habits, and scientific management of Anjuha, the Zoo’s adult female rhinoceros.
