Calling all young storytellers! Keekli Charitable Trust invites students under 20 from schools and colleges across India to participate in its Pan-India Short Story Writing Competition 2026. This is your chance to unleash your imagination, celebrate India’s rich storytelling heritage, and showcase your talent on a national platform.

Submission Period: January 15 – March 31, 2026

Competition Details:

  • Word Limit: 1,000–2,500 words

  • Languages: English or Hindi

  • Themes: Open theme, or inspired by your state/city’s folklore, monuments, history, or culture

  • Genres: Fiction, non-fiction, travelogue, or memoir

Prizes & Opportunities:

  • Top 31–51 stories will be published in a national anthology

  • Access to creative workshops and webinars with esteemed jury members

  • One-on-one mentoring to polish shortlisted stories

Rules & Guidelines:

  • Include your class, school/college name, city, and contact number

  • Submissions must be typed; handwritten entries will not be accepted

  • Submit Story in WORD FILE format only, NO IMAGES/NO PDF Files
  • No AI-generated content or plagiarism; disqualification applies

  • Credit any inspirations from existing sources
