CM Sukhu inaugurated the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) office in Nadaun today, aimed at strengthening law and order across 82 Gram Panchayats and one Nagar Panchayat. The office will oversee Nadaun and Sujanpur police stations, improving coordination and response efficiency.
He also inaugurated the newly constructed Rajasva Sadan in Nadaun (₹18.50 lakh) and dedicated the Panchayat Ghar in Kalur (₹1.14 crore), announcing the relocation of the local liquor shop back to its previous site.
Addressing the public, the Chief Minister highlighted the financial impact of reinstating the Old Pension Scheme, noting a ₹1,600 crore funding cut from the Union Government.
He announced that the Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School in Amlehar—the first CBSE-affiliated school of its kind in the state—will start from the next academic session, offering quality education and nutritious meals for up to 1,000 students.
Minimum support prices were declared for key crops: ₹90/kg for turmeric, ₹40/kg for maize, and ₹60/kg for wheat. He also shared updates on the upcoming medical college and cancer hospital in Hamirpur.
CM Sukhu inspected the under-construction ₹65 crore Multipurpose Sports Complex at Kharidi, Nadaun, directing its completion by year-end. The facility will include an 8-lane swimming pool, shooting range, and spaces for various sports including boxing, kabaddi, and table tennis.
He emphasized the role of such infrastructure in youth development and curbing drug abuse, and also visited the Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School site in Amlehar.
MLA Sanjay Rattan, HRTC Vice Chairman Ajay Verma, and other senior officials were present at the events.
