Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur today presided over the 5th edition of ‘Prarambh’—a sports, cultural, and educational event organized by the Creative Foundation. The event, aimed at empowering youth and uplifting underprivileged communities, was marked by vibrant student participation and community engagement.

Commending the Foundation’s initiatives, the Minister praised its efforts to provide a holistic platform for students—especially from government schools—to showcase their talent in sports, culture, and academics. He noted that such events are instrumental in building confidence, discipline, and team spirit among the youth.

In his address, Thakur emphasized the importance of moral values, staying connected to one’s cultural identity, and resisting the growing threat of substance abuse.

We must take pride in our Pahari roots. Upholding our cultural identity is essential for the development of future generations,” he said, encouraging young people to become ambassadors of the ‘Nasha Mukti Abhiyan’.

The Minister further highlighted the Foundation’s impactful work beyond education—such as organizing blood donation camps, community meals (langar) at the cancer hospital, and promoting inclusive support for marginalized communities. He expressed hope that such initiatives would inspire youth across the state and promote a culture of compassion and service.

Students competed enthusiastically in events including Kabaddi, Volleyball, Badminton, Arm Wrestling, and E-sports, as well as in cultural and educational competitions. The Minister congratulated all participants for their dedication and spirited performances.

Creative Foundation Founder Hitesh Singh Chauhan presented a vote of thanks, outlining the Foundation’s ongoing social initiatives. The event was attended by key dignitaries including Councillor Ankush Verma, Education Minister’s Media OSD Gulshan Diwan, Youth Congress Secretary Tushar Stan, Sunbeam School Chairman Rajat Chauhan, along with teachers, students, and community members.
