CM Sukhu presided over the 216th Board of Directors meeting of the Himachal Pradesh State Forest Development Corporation Limited (HPSFDCL), during which a three percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for the Corporation’s employees was approved with effect from April 1, 2025, in line with the State Government’s notification. The Board also sanctioned the payment of bonus to 175 employees earning a monthly salary of up to Rs. 21,000.
The Board approved the regularisation of daily wage workers who have completed 240 days of service in each of the past four years, as per the State Government notification issued on April 1, 2026. It also cleared the regularisation of eligible contractual employees under the government’s existing policy. Additionally, the Board approved an increase in the minimum daily wage from Rs. 425 to Rs. 450 for various categories of workers, effective from April 1, 2026, in accordance with the government notification.
While reviewing the Corporation’s performance, the Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the significant rise in revenue following the modernisation of the Resin and Turpentine (R&T) Factory at Bilaspur. In view of the encouraging results, the Board decided to modernise the R&T Factory at Nahan to further boost productivity and enhance revenue generation.
Commending the efforts of the Managing Director in strengthening the Corporation’s financial health, the Chief Minister urged officials to continue adopting innovative strategies to improve operational efficiency, increase revenue and ensure the Corporation’s long-term sustainability.
