AuckyBoys13517 (3)Like books, sports give people a sense of having lived other lives, of taking part in other people’s victories and defeats. When sports are at their best, the spirit of the fan merges with the spirit of the athlete. Something similar was witnessed during Auckland House School for Boys Senior Section Sports’ Day that was held today.

During the sports day Dr. B.L. Vinta, Director, Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh was present as the Chief Guest who appreciated the efforts put in by the school as a whole. He laid stress on importance of education as well as sports for the overall development of a child.

AuckyBoys13517 (18)As they say the smell of the sweat is not sweet, but the fruit of the sweat is very sweet – the enthusiasm among the students of Forms III to X was at its zenith. Various events were organized like the Guard of Honour, Marchin Dumbells and Tambourine, Yoga, PT Display, Aerobics, Gymnastics, Taekwando and races such as baton relay, ball relay, hoopla race, basketball train race, kangaroo race, sack race, skating and tug of war.

AuckyBoys13517 (16)The colorful PT display and Yoga postures by students were enjoyed and appreciated by all. Races turned out to be fun as the entire school cheered their houses.

If you’re looking for the easy challenge, you’re not cut out for success that’s what exactly was proved by the boys of Auckland House as they put their best foot forwards and never backed out till the last especially during Tug of War.
