Akhileshwar Singh, Director, Finance & Personnel, SJVN met Minister of Energy, Government of Bihar, Bijendra Prasad Yadav. The meeting was also attended by Pankaj Kumar Pal, IAS, Secretary of Energy Department, Nilesh Ramchandra Deore, IAS, Managing Director of BREDA and Vikas Sharma, CEO of Buxar Thermal Power Project. The meeting focused on progress of power projects in Bihar that are being spearheaded by SJVN.

During the meeting, Akhileshwar Singh apprised the Minister about progress of 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project and 200 MW Bihar Solar Power Project being executed by SJVN in the state. Both of these projects are integral to Bihar’s power infrastructure development.

Bijendra Prasad Yadav assured to extend full cooperation for ensuring timely completion of these projects. The meeting also included deliberations on other significant projects under consideration in the state, such as 1000 MW Durgawati Pumped Storage Project (PSP) and Dagmara Multi-purpose Project with Floating Solar and various opportunities for development of Floating Solar Project on water bodies available in Bihar. He expressed confidence in SJVN’s capabilities and experience and said that these projects, once implemented, shall further bolster the state’s energy generation capacity and contribute to the nation’s sustainable energy goals.
