In celebration of the upcoming International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025, the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) will host a special three-day Iyengar Yoga Workshop under the inclusive banner of “Yoga Samavesh”. The workshop will run from 9th to 11th June 2025, with daily sessions scheduled from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
The sessions will be conducted by Amit Sharma, a distinguished Iyengar Yoga instructor from Lifeyoga Centre, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. Renowned for its emphasis on alignment, structure, and therapeutic benefits, Iyengar Yoga is particularly suited for participants seeking depth and precision in their practice, along with improved mental clarity and wellness.
Participation is open to scholars and yoga enthusiasts associated with AIIA. Interested individuals can register by submitting their names and contact details to Dr. Ramavtar Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of Swasthavritta, AIIA, at dr.rsharma@aiia.gov.in.
Speaking about the initiative, Prof. Manjusha Rajagopala, Director of AIIA, stated, “Through Yoga Samavesh, AIIA aims to make authentic yoga practices accessible to all. This Iyengar Yoga workshop is a step towards providing participants with a deeper, structured experience of yoga’s therapeutic potential.”
