Overall winner of the Inter House Athletics Championship 2015 — Curzon House
The 156th Annual Athletic Meet was held at Bishop Cotton School here today, filled with the spirit of sportsmanship and fervour. The guests of honour for the event were the Old Cottonions from 1965b batch namely, Anil Stokes, Sarabhjit, Mik Sayal, A.N.Kaushal and Ravi Inder Singh. School Headmaster Christopher Robinson along with his wife, Dorothy Robinson was also present on the occasion.
The sporting event included some interesting races and relays along with marvellous PT displays, high horse jump, chair exercise and much more. The event began with an awe-inspiring March Past by the proud Cottonians who were lead by the School Captain. The amazing PT display by the boys of middle school won the hearts of all the parents and the guests present on the occasion.
The results of various events were as follows — Proficiency Cup was won by Curzon House, followed by Ibbetson House, Lefroy House, and Rivaz House. The winners for Victor Ludorum in different division for the year 2015 were as follows: Open Division – S.S. Bhullar; Division A – Kanishk Sirohi; Division B – Sheik Moanz; Division C – Yugam Tiwari; Division D – Anant Toor; Division E – Devashish and Division F – Ishan Jindal.
Open relay 4X200 results: Division A – 1st – Curzon, 2nd – Lefroy, 3rd – Rivaz, 4th– Ibbetson; Division B – 1st – Curzon, 2nd – Rivaz, 3rd – Ibbetson, 4th – Lefroy; Division C – 1st – Lefroy, 2nd – Curzon, 3rd – Rivaz, 4th – Ibbetson; Division D – 1st – Curzon, 2nd – Ibbetson, 3rd – Rivaz, 4th – Lefroy.
The relay cup for the year was won by Curzon House. The overall winner of Inter House Athletics Championship 2015 was Curzon House. The events ended with a fun filled tug of war which was won by Lefroy House. The boys performed brilliantly in all the events and the efforts of the teachers and the students were well appreciated by the guests.
