Auckland House School for Girls, Shimla, in its continued commitment to health education and community welfare, successfully organized a Cervical Cancer Awareness Public Forum. The event witnessed the active participation of nearly 100 parents, making it a significant initiative in the region to spread awareness about one of the leading causes of preventable cancer deaths among women.

The keynote speaker for the session was Dr. Alok, a renowned expert in women’s health, who delivered an insightful presentation on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and early detection of cervical cancer. Dr. Alok emphasized the importance of regular screenings, HPV vaccination, and awareness in combating this fatal yet largely preventable disease. His informative and engaging session empowered attendees with knowledge that could potentially save lives.

The driving force behind the organization of this impactful forum was Director-Principal Samarki Samantha Roy, who strongly believes in the importance of preventive healthcare and education. She reiterated that creating awareness is the first step in the battle against cervical cancer, and educational institutions must play a pivotal role in disseminating life-saving knowledge.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where parents discussed concerns and clarified doubts with Dr. Alok, further strengthening the forum’s objective of community engagement. The initiative was met with appreciation and gratitude from the participants, who acknowledged the school’s efforts in addressing such a vital issue.

This forum marks a meaningful stride in the school’s broader vision of nurturing not just academic excellence, but also holistic well-being among its students and the wider community.
