Auckland House School‘s Senior Section Sports Day on September 2, 2023, marked a celebration of athleticism and sportsmanship. The event was graced by the Honourable Chief Guest, Mr. Michael A. John, Principal of Auckland House School for Boys, and was welcomed by Director Principal, Mrs. Sunita John.
The highlight of the event was an impressive March Past, featuring the school’s four Houses—Matthew, Durrant, Lefroy, and French. These students marched in perfect synchronization to the melodious tune of ‘Iktara,’ played by the Pipe Band, followed by the NCC contingent.
Auckland House School Sports Event
The students showcased their physical prowess through a variety of activities, including PT Display with sticks and flower-adorned rings, Gymnastics, Yoga, Aerobics, Karate, and Strike-Self Defence. These displays demonstrated their dedication to physical fitness and skill development. In terms of recognition, the Sports Shield was shared by Matthew and Durrant House, emphasizing their exceptional sporting achievements. Matthew House also claimed victory in the Marching Cup category.
PT Display And Gymnastics
A special accolade, the Ankur Chauhan Memorial Trophy for the Best Athlete, and The Victor Ludorum prize for Excellence in Field Events, were awarded to Gargie Thakur for her outstanding contributions to athletics. The spirit of competition extended to the Tug-of-War event, where French House emerged victorious, showcasing their strength and teamwork.
Mr. Michael A. John, the Chief Guest, lauded the girls for their remarkable sportsmanship and skill, praising the high standard displayed throughout the event.
