The Annual Middle Section Sports Day at Auckland House School took place here today as the girls showcased a remarkable display of athleticism and talent. With Sarla Kant, Principal Shimla Public School, Shimla, presiding as the Chief Guest, the event was a grand celebration of life and fitness. The programme commenced with an impressive March Past led by the Pipe Band, setting the tone for an action-packed day.
Synchronized March Past:
The Sports Day began with a stunning and well-coordinated March Past, led by the school’s esteemed Pipe Band. The rhythmic beats and synchronized movements of the participants captivated the audience, setting the stage for an exciting day ahead.
Wide Participation:
With a strong focus on inclusivity, the organizers ensured active participation of 355 children on the playfield. Various events were organized, ranging from P.T. displays, Yoga, karate, skating, gymnastics to races. This wide range of activities provided ample opportunities for students to showcase their diverse agility and skills.
Outstanding Performances:
Among the many commendable performances, Matthew House emerged victorious, claiming the prestigious Marching and Sports Shield. Durrant and Lefroy House displayed exceptional proficiency, leading to a shared triumph in the Proficiency Cup. Devangana Parihar was honoured with the Ankur Chauhan Memorial Trophy for her outstanding athleticism, while Mayra Chauhan was celebrated as the Best Gymnast.
