The proposition was supported by Convent of Jesus and Mary, Shimla while the opposition was sustained by St James School, Kolkata. The relentless argument with two admirable perspectives is truly commendable as the proposition constructed the importance of digital services in our daily life such as “Siri” and “Alexa” while the opposition highlighted the importance of human connections by quoting a famous saying “A realm where digital experiences grow, this digital world which lacks a kindred soul’s grace.
” Implies that the importance of human connection can never be inferior to Artificial Intelligence. The following philosophical statement endorsed a victorious path for St James Kolkata to qualify for Semi Finals and beat last year’s runner up Convent of Jesus and Mary, Chelsea, Shimla in this facet of the competition. The most jaw dropping debate which put the entire audience and the judges into a state of ambiguity was fought by the proposition represented by The Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai and the opposition was exemplified by La Martiniere for Girls, Kolkata. The motion up for argument stated “Climate change is a subset of Geopolitics.

”The proposition highlighted the term “Global Warming” which may change the borders in the distant future while the opposition rebutted the following stance by stating that climate change is a short- term problem which may be solved due to advancement in technologies hence it should not be a subset of geopolitics. The motion was lost, victory was attained byLa Martiniere for Girls, Kolkata, the former victors of this event but with as stiff competition faced from The Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai. The two most superior teams from the following list will have a showdown of their academic capabilities on 30 th October ,2023 in the Irwin Hall out of which one team will emerge supreme.
