The air was charged with excitement as young Cottonians, some as young as Class 4, took to the streets of Shimla for a cross-country run, showcasing their months of rigorous training.
For the past six weeks, these dedicated students have been up at the crack of dawn, navigating the steep Shimla roads in pursuit of fitness and excellence. Today, their efforts culminated in a spectacular display of endurance and sportsmanship.
The marathon, tailored to various age groups, featured five different starting points around Shimla, with all participants converging at the school grounds amidst resounding cheers from spectators.
The podium saw deserving champions emerge in each category:
- Under 10 Category: Vedansh Bharti clinched victory.
- Under 12 Category: Irfaan Hyder showcased his prowess.
- Under 14 Category: Shefaa Prajwan proved her mettle.
- Under 16 Category: Arnav Dhanyan demonstrated exceptional skill.
- Open Category & 2024 Victor Champion: Sarthak Khandewal claimed the ultimate title, clocking an impressive time of 30.12.00 minutes.
