On the occasion of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) foundation day, party national vice president Saudan Singh emphasized that the day is not just a celebration but a reaffirmation of the party’s dedication to nation-building. Addressing party workers at a programme in Sain Mohalla, Mandi district, he highlighted that the BJP is more than a political organization—it represents a movement, an idea, and a collective resolve for national progress.

Recalling the party’s inception on April 6, 1980, Singh noted how the BJP has grown into the world’s largest political party through the tireless efforts and commitment of its grassroots workers. He stressed that the party operates on the principle of Antyodaya, aiming to ensure development and welfare for the most marginalized sections of society.

Singh praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” has guided governance, driving transformative growth across multiple sectors. He highlighted flagship initiatives such as Digital India, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for significantly improving access to essential services and strengthening social welfare.

Pointing to the party’s remarkable journey—from winning only two Lok Sabha seats in 1984 to securing historic majorities in recent years—Singh said the BJP’s strength lies in its committed cadre and the trust it enjoys among the people. He urged party workers to continue spreading the BJP’s ideology, actively engage at the grassroots level, and ensure the party’s programmes reach every village and booth.

The event saw participation from local BJP leaders, office bearers, party workers, and a large gathering of residents who joined in the foundation day celebrations.
