The Budget for 2022-23 is dedicated to meet future needs of the people of Himachal Pradesh. This budget aims at reaching all sections of the society especially, those who need help from the Government. The enhanced capital expenditure will not only help in giving pace to the creation of physical infrastructure but will also generate additional employment. This budget has the following main highlights Budget size proposed as Rs. 51 thousand 365 crore. 

The economy of the State is expected to grow at 8.3 percent during 2021-22. Free and cheaper electricity. Main points of budget:

  • Unprecedented expansion in Social Security.
  • Child, Women Welfare and Empowerment & Welfare of other sections.
  • Quality Education and increase in Scholarships.
  • Expansion and strengthening of Health Services Increase in income of Farmers.
  • Employment & Employee/Labour welfare/Increase in Honorarium of Para Workers.
  • Industrial Development and Basic Infrastructure. Digitization. Natural Resources and Environment.
