Cabinet meeting decisions include filling up of vacant posts

The State Cabinet in its meeting held on Friday under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu recommended the Governor to convene the Monsoon session of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha from 27th August to 9th September, 2024  at Shimla. It will have 10 sittings.

The Cabinet decided to create Police District Dehra with its headquarters at Dehra along with creation and filling up of 39 posts of different categories. It also decided to upgrade Police Posts Dadasiba and Majheen as Police Stations under SDPO Dehra and SDPO Jwalamukhi respectively. It also decided to create and fill up 17 posts each of different categories to make these Police Stations fully functional. Additionally, a new Police Post Jwalamukhi City and Police Post Moin have also been created with six posts  each of different categories under Police Station Jwalamukhi and Dehra respectively. Furthermore, it was also decided to transfer the jurisdiction of Police Station Rakkar from SDPO Jwalamukhi to SDPO Dehra.

The Cabinet gave its approval for procurement of  apple, kinnow, malta, orange and mango fruits under Market Intervention Scheme at Rs. 12 per kg while the procurement rate for galgal would be Rs. 10 per kg. The apple procurement time will be from 20th July, 2024 to 31st October, 2024 and mango from 1st July, 2024 to 31st August, 2024 while kinnow, malta, orange and galgal would be procured from 21st November, 2024 to 15th February, 2025.

The Cabinet has approved the merger of Government Primary Schools within a 2-kilometer radius and Government Middle Schools within a 3-kilometer radius, if they have five or fewer students. Additionally, 89 Government Primary Schools and 10 Middle Schools with zero enrollment will be closed. Teaching staff in the education department will be transferred annually at the end of the academic session. All teachers including Head Teachers, Centre Head Teachers, Headmasters and Principals will also teach the students.

Moreover, the Cabinet mandated that all schools hold a morning assembly with the national anthem and that High and Senior Secondary Schools unfurl the national flag daily. Physical education will be a compulsory daily period in all schools and training in CPR and First Aid will also be provided in collaboration with the Health and Ayush Departments. It put its seal to create SDPO office at Dharampur in Mandi district alongwith creation and filling up of five posts of different categories.

The Cabinet gave its approval to create six posts of different categories for newly opened SDPO office Chuwari and 22 posts of various categories for newly opened Police Station Sihunta in Chamba district. It gave its consent to create and fill up six posts of different categories in the newly opened SDPO Office Indora in Kangra district. It decided to create six posts of various categories for newly opened Police Station Bhoranj in Hamirpur district.

The Cabinet also put its seal to create and fill up 31 posts of different categories for newly upgraded Police Station Manikaran at Kasol in Kullu district. It decided to fill up 116 posts of work Inspector in Jal Shakti Vibhag through direct recruitment. It also decided to fill up 25 posts of Junior Technician (Work Inspector) in the Public Works Department.

It gave its approval to fill up 21 posts of Civil Judges through direct recruitment. It was also decided to create a Public Works Department Circle at Dehra and Public Works Department Division Jwalamukhi in district Kangra along with creation and filling up of 26 posts of different categories.

It gave its nod to create a Division of Jal Shakti Vibhag at Dharampur along with a new sub-division at Parwanoo in Kasauli assembly constituency of Solan district along with the creation of 17 posts of different categories. Additionally, it was also decided to shift the jurisdiction of Subathu Sub Division from Arki Division to Dharmapur Division.

The Cabinet gave its consent to open the Electrical Division at Haroli in Una district by re-organisation of existing Divisions under Gagret and Amb Divisions along with the creation and filling up of 13 posts of different categories.

The Cabinet accorded sanction to open Block Medical Office at Jaisinghpur in Kangra district along with creation and filling up of requisite posts. It also decided to re-organise the Development Block Pragpur, Nagrota Surian and Dehra to facilitate the people of the area.

It also decided to fill up 16 posts of different categories in the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department. It decided to create and fill up 10 posts of Treasury Officers in the Department of Treasuries, Accounts and Lotteries.

It was also decided to create and fill up one post of Assistant Professor in Cardiology Department in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda, district Kangra and six posts of Yoga Instructor Dr. Radhakrishnan Government Medical College, Hamirpur.

The Cabinet gave its nod to create and fill up 8 posts of various categories for Development Block Surani in district Kangra. It decided to continue the use of physical stamp papers available with the stamp vendors for three months with effect from 1st August, 2024 as one time relaxation.

The Cabinet decided to constitute three Cabinet Sub Committees one for examining the issue of arbitration and Court matters to be chaired by Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan with Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi and PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh as Members. The second Cabinet Sub Committee to be headed by Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharamani and Ayush Minister Yadvinder Goma as members to examine the issues of HPSEBL. Third Committee comprises Education Minister Rohit Thakur as Chairperson and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharamani and Ayush Minister Yadvinder Goma as members to examine the matters of compassionate appointments.

It gave its nod for extension of MoU in favour of Alliance Air Aviation Limited for operation of flights between Shimla-Dharamshala-Shimla (seven days a week) from 1st July, 2024 to 30th June, 2025.
