A delegation from the Seraj Assembly Constituency of Mandi district met Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at his official residence Oak Over, raising development issues and inviting him to visit the area.
Led by Seraj Block Congress President Jagdish Reddy, the delegation discussed local infrastructure needs. The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s focus on balanced regional development and announced road maintenance grants for several rural roads in the constituency.
He also informed that ₹137.40 crore has been sanctioned for widening and strengthening the 83-km Chail Chowk–Janjehli road under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund. The project, prioritised due to disaster damage and connectivity needs in Mandi district, is expected to boost regional development.
Sukhu said the state government has enhanced disaster relief measures, significantly increasing compensation for damaged houses, household goods, livestock losses, and infrastructure, under a special relief package for affected families.
The delegation thanked the Chief Minister for continued support and infrastructure funding in the region.
