Shimla Nursing College, Shurala organized a vibrant Pre-Christmas Celebration in its multipurpose hall, marking the festive season with enthusiasm and cheer. The event aimed to promote the values of love, peace, joy, and universal brotherhood among students and staff.
The programme was held in the gracious presence of Secretary Dr. Kimi Sood, Principal Dr. Krishna Chauhan, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students, creating an atmosphere of unity and festive spirit. The hall was beautifully decorated with Christmas ornaments, stars, and lights, adding to the celebratory ambience.
The celebration began with a formal welcome, followed by a speech on the significance of Christmas delivered by Tenzin, a GNM 3rd-year student, who highlighted the importance of peace, goodwill, and compassion. GNM 2nd-year students enthralled the audience with an energetic dance performance, while B.Sc. Nursing 1st-semester students presented a meaningful role play depicting the values of sharing, love, and harmony.
Students actively participated in various cultural activities including Christmas carol singing, dances, skits, and motivational messages, emphasizing kindness, compassion, and service to humanity—values central to the nursing profession.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Krishna Chauhan appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and commended the organizing team for their dedicated efforts. In her concluding address, Secretary Dr. Kimi Sood extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings and encouraged students to uphold human values and professional ethics in their careers.
Faculty members also lauded the students’ performances and motivated them to imbibe the true spirit of Christmas by serving society with empathy and dedication. The celebration concluded with the exchange of greetings and group interactions, leaving behind a memorable pre-Christmas experience and reinforcing the message of peace, harmony, and cultural unity at Shimla Nursing College, Shurala.
