Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced a free coaching, physical training and guidance programme for candidates aspiring to join the Himachal Pradesh Police as Constables. The initiative aims to improve employment opportunities for youth and help them prepare effectively for the recruitment process.
The announcement follows the HPPSC advertisement issued on 9 July 2026 for filling 800 Constable posts in the HP Police.
The Chief Minister has directed the Director General of Police to organise structured training through all Armed Police Battalions in the state. The programme will include coaching for the written test, physical efficiency test preparation, recruitment guidance, personality development, motivational sessions and mentoring by police officers and expert trainers.
Sukhu said the initiative will ensure equal opportunities for candidates, especially those from rural, remote and tribal areas who have limited access to quality coaching facilities. He said the programme will encourage greater participation of local youth and help the police force select skilled, disciplined and service-oriented personnel.
The HP Police will soon issue details regarding training schedules, venues and registration. Candidates have been advised to follow official updates through Armed Police Battalions and District Police Offices.
