CM Appreciates Memoir on Mental Health

Author and mental health specialist Priya Sharma today met CM Sukhu at Oak Over and presented him with a copy of her book, “The Light He Left Behind.”

The book, inspired by true events, narrates the emotional journey of the author following the loss of her brother. It also highlights her mother’s resilience and her own path through grief, love, and healing. Alongside the story, the book offers reflective insights and practical tools to help others cope with loss and emotional recovery.

Sukhu appreciated Sharma’s initiative in turning a personal tragedy into a powerful message of courage, compassion, and hope. He remarked that such literary efforts not only inspire individuals going through similar experiences but also raise awareness about the critical importance of mental health.

He extended his best wishes to the author for her continued work in mental health advocacy and future writing endeavors.
