Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur distributed Blood Pressure Monitors, provided by the State Bank of India as part of social responsibility to the Police personnel of the State here today.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Chief Minister appreciated this gesture of the State Bank of India Management and said that this would go a long way in helping the police force in proper monitoring of their blood pressure. He said that since the police force have work in varied environment and at times in unpleasant situation, thus it was vital that they ensure their proper physical and mental fitness.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Bank of India has provided 392 BP monitors which would be provided in all Police stations, Police posts and Police battalions. He said that apart from this, SBI has also agreed to provide Blood Sugar monitoring machines and weighing machines to the Police force which would be provided to the Police stations. He said that all these equipments would help the Police personnel in keeping them fit besides regularly monitoring their health parameters.

Chief Minister also thanked the management of Arvind Mills Ahemdabad for providing one lakh N 95 Masks for the State police. He said that Himachal Pradesh Police has done exceptionally well during the Covid pandemic by not only regulating flow of tourists and people of Himachal stranded in different parts of the country to the State, but also effectively maintaining law and order.

Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu thanked the Chief Minister for being considerate towards the various issues of the Police force. He also thanked the State Bank of India Management for their philanthropic gesture. He said that all the equipments and machineries provided by the SBI and Arvind Mills would be disbursed to the respective Police stations in the State.
