Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur released a calendar based on Vikrami Samvat-2079 starting from Chaitra Shukla Pratipada of Himachal Sanskrit Academy at Oakover today. This year Vikrami Samvat was starting from 2 April, 2022. While congratulating the people of the state on Vikrami Samvat-2079 and Navratri, Jai Ram Thakur extended his good wishes and hope that this year brings prosperity and happiness in their life. The Chief Minister also released Divya Jyoti, the latest issue of the biannual research magazine of Himachal Sanskrit Academy. Appreciating the efforts of Himachal Sanskrit Academy, the Chief Minister said that this would prove fruitful in connecting the society with the basic principles of Indian culture. Director Higher Education Dr. Amarjit Kumar Sharma, Secretary Himachal Sanskrit Academy Dr. Keshavanand Kaushal and Sahityacharya Dr. Mukesh Sharma were also present on the occasion among others.
