Health Minister Dhani Ram Shandil and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh on Sunday said the state government has fulfilled all ten guarantees promised to the people and challenged Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur to identify even one unfulfilled commitment.

The Ministers said the Congress government restored the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) for 1.36 lakh employees in its first Cabinet meeting. They added that financial assistance of Rs. 1,500 per month is being provided to eligible women under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana in a phased manner.

Highlighting other achievements, they said the government launched the Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgar Start-Up Scheme to promote self-employment among youth and constituted a Kisan Aayog for farmers’ welfare. MSP for naturally grown crops, turmeric and ginger has also been increased, while milk procurement prices have nearly doubled.

The Ministers said English-medium education has been introduced from Class 1 in government schools, Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding Schools are being opened constituency-wise, and 156 CBSE schools have already started functioning across the state.

They further stated that over 23,200 government jobs and 51,400 private sector employment opportunities have been provided to youth during the last three years.

The government has also introduced major reforms in horticulture and healthcare sectors, including better MSP for fruit growers and advanced medical facilities such as robotic surgery, PET scan and 3 Tesla MRI in the state.

Under the ‘Apna Parivar-Sukhi Parivar’ scheme, around one lakh poor families will also receive 300 units of free electricity per month, the Ministers added.
