A delegation led by Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (HPSDMA) Vice Chairman Deepak Rathore met CM Sukhu in Shimla on Tuesday and expressed gratitude for his appointment to the key position.
The delegation members thanked the Chief Minister for entrusting Rathore with the responsibility of Vice Chairman of the Disaster Management Authority and conveyed their best wishes for his new role.
During the meeting, Sukhu said that Deepak Rathore has a long association with the organisation and has served in various capacities over the years. He said Rathore has been given this important responsibility in accordance with the directions of the party high command and expressed confidence that he would work effectively for strengthening disaster management in the state.
Sukhu highlighted Rathore’s commitment to the Congress ideology and his journey from a humble background, wishing him success in carrying out his duties.
Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Rathore praised Chief Minister Sukhu’s leadership, saying that his dedication towards the organisation and his ability to handle administrative challenges had earned him the position of Chief Minister.
Rathore said Sukhu had effectively dealt with both natural disasters and political challenges and expressed confidence that he would continue to lead the state in the future. He also stated that after Dr. Y.S. Parmar, Sukhu could become the second Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh to secure a consecutive term in office.
