Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Campaign 2023-24: Unveiling ‘Digital India for New India’ Theme

In a bid to foster the spirit of communication and embrace the digital wave, the Dhai Akhar National Letter Writing Campaign for the fiscal year 2023-24 is all set to kick off on August 1, 2023. This year’s theme, “Digital India for New India,” aims to explore the intersection of technology and tradition through the art of letter writing.

The campaign, running until October 31, 2023, encourages participants from all walks of life to contribute their heartfelt letters. However, it’s crucial to note that entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered for this edition of the campaign. With a target of 30,000 entries, divisions have been allocated quotas based on the number of post offices in the region and previous campaign performance.

To make this event a resounding success, adhering to the provided instructions and timeline (detailed in Annexure B) is of utmost importance. Divisions are urged to focus on the following key points:

Amplified Publicity: Employ a mix of traditional and digital channels to spread the word far and wide, ensuring maximum participation in the campaign.

Organized Database: Maintain a comprehensive database of participating schools, workshops, philatelic clubs, and Philatelic Deposit Account (PDA) openings. Submit this information in the prescribed format by the 5th of the following month from the event’s inception until its conclusion.

Visual Storytelling: Capture the essence of the campaign through high-quality photographs and short videos. Share these captivating visuals on various social media platforms to engage a broader audience.

Results and Entries: The campaign’s results are expected to be declared by December 15, 2023. Selected top three entries from each category must be forwarded by December 31, 2023.

Furthermore, during school workshops, students will not only delve into the world of philately but will also gain insights into the campaign’s theme. These workshops aim to motivate students to open Philatelic Deposit Accounts while fostering an appreciation for the timeless art of letter writing.

Let’s embrace the fusion of technology and tradition as we embark on this enriching journey of expression and exploration. Join us in making the Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Campaign 2023-24 a memorable ode to ‘Digital India for New India.’
