The vision statement of the new body was launched on May 27, 2022 to say “St. Bede’s Alumni Association seeks to converge, connect and catalyse student alumni interface built on the edifice of past and present goodwill for creating a social capital as assets to contemporary society.”

This initiative has already ignited nostalgia among alumni as far back as 1950s. it is hoped that decades will come together to share, enrich, learn, and empower not just each other but also the institution and the society. A roadmap of activities is planned which will shortly be announced.

Keeping the sustainable development goals in view, St. Bede’s is initiating this effort by a voluntary clean-up of the garbage-littered pristine mountains at Naldhera Heights Shimla on the World Environmental Day, Jun 5, 2022, in close collaboration with Earth Day Network Asia Pacific, SAGES, and Inner Wheel Club to name a few. The students and alumni come together to make this significant activity sustainable and replicable. This is also in alignment with one of the 75 sites which the forest department has identified to volunteer for improvement..

This initiative is closely linked to other collaborations of St. Bede’s, like the Isha Foundation’s Vital Save Soil Campaign which has touched 2 billion people already.

The Principal, Prof Sr. Molly Abraham, who is the guiding force behind the EBA wished the executives all the best in their multiple endeavours.
