Annual days are a perfect time to showcase students’ talent in front of not only school but even parents who often have a single track of mind — that is studies.
Students of JCB School presented remarkable stage performances in form of dances and a play that made the people not only enjoy but also contemplate on the fact that studies alone are not worth living for a child, but such extra-curricular activites matter.
The event was held at Gaiety Theater, Shimla. The day began with welcoming of chief guest Harsh Mahajan, Chairman State Corporative Bank, Shimla by the School Director Principal Kushal Malhotra. No function starts without the grace of Lord Ganesha hence a Vandana was performed which was followed by the School Annual Report.
Students of Class Nursery and Kindergarten performed aerobics which was followed by Yoga. Numerous dance performances including Chanda Mama, Nav Durga, Classical Fusion, Chambayali Dance, Hanuman Chalisa, Dandiya and Garba, Patriotic Song, God Is One, Galti Se Mistake, a Mime — Love Your Parents, Govinda Funny Dance, Bhangra, Afghani Dance, Phari Natti and Hindi and English plays were presented. Students who outshined throughout the year were rewarded for their performances.
Both the Principal and the Chief Guest appreciated the collective hard work put in by teachers and students for putting up the great show. They both emphasized on importance of extra circular activities that are often considered secondary and hence students’ participation is discouraged by parents.
