Enthusiasm Beats Heat during Chapslee Sports Day

Chapslee.22.5.16aStudents of Chapslee School gave a tough competition to the scorching heat with their confidence and physical strength as they celebrated their Annual Inter House Athletic Meet at the Police Ground Bharari, Shimla here today. Kanwar Dushyant Singh, a well know active environmentalist graced the occasion as the chief guest and while expressing his happiness he said that it was indeed a great pleasure to be part of such an enthusiastic day. He encouraged the students to never give up on trying and also inspired them by saying that all students are not meant to shine in studies alone. They should look around and identify their true potential.

Being an environmentalist he encouraged the students to give up use of plastics as it is dangerous for the environment. He told them to use their resources carefully without wasting them.

Chapslee.22.5.16During the day P. T. display by Classes IX and X was quite remarkable and various races were held to challenge the physical strength of the students. The loud cheers and claps resounded the ground as each house vide for their friends to finish first at the crossing line.

Another highlight of the event was the Inter-School Athletic races in which students from Bishop Cottons, Auckland House Girls School, Durga public School among other participated and won laurels.

4 x 100 mts Relay Boys under 12 years – Kushal Sharma, Ashish Sharma, Vivek Raj and  Jigyanshu Kumarfirst, whereas Shivansh Shaik, Pranay Sharma, Arnav Thakur and Arpit Sharma second.

4 x 100 mts Relay Boys under 14 years – Aditya Yog, Hemant Mehta, Pradyumn Vashisht and Prateek Chauhan first, Ankit Verma, Pyush Bhrouta, Divyanshu Chadda  and Samad Shukh second.

4 x -100 mts Relay Girls under 14 years – Abha, Gunjan Kashyap, Samriti Grack and Shivani Verma first, Pranjal Kashyap, Riya Sharma, Shweta Thakur and Aditi Sankhyan second.

4 x 200 mts Relay Boys under 16 years – Prashant Thakur, Sachin Verma, Krishna Gupta and Ritik Bharota first, Anmol Sharma, Kartik Chauhan, Paras Chauhan and Atharv Sood second.

5 x 100 mts Relay Mixed Bag Relay – Pranshu Bansha, Shivansh Sanaik Yuvraj Khanna, Shivansh Arora and Prashant Thakur first, Yuvraj Manjta, Kushal Sharma, Samad Shukh, Tarun Verma and Saharsh Joshi second.

4 x 400 mts Relay Inter School Boys under 19 – Chapslee School first, BCS second and Durga Public School third.

4 x 200 mts Relay Inter School Girls under 19 – Chapslee School first, Auckland House School for Girls second and Durga Public School third.

One hand Push up P.Ed. Boys of Class XII – Pratyaush Verma first and Vineet Rana second

Tug of War Final Boys – Nilgiri House first and Vindhya House second. 

Tug of War Final Girls – Himalaya first and Vindhya second.

Kabaddi Final Boys – Shikalik House first and Vindhya House second.  

The day ended on a happy note as every child felt like a winner after delivering their best during the competitions.
